Under the auspices of UOP President Prof. Marwan Muwalla, the University of Petra (UOP) concluded the exhibition of IT students' works organized by the Faculty of Information Technology (FIT). The exhibition witnessed the participation of Jordanian and Arab universities and companies operating in the information technology sector.
The exhibition was divided into two competitions: graduation projects competition and leading ideas competition.
In the graduation projects competition, "Virtual Reality Edu-Game" project won the first place and it was conducted by the Palestine Ahliya University team comprising of students: Safaa' Shrim, Waleed AlSukun, Abeer AlMaharbeh, and Waseem Arafeh. UOP "Wish Wall" team won the second place and the team comprised of the students: Badran Jawhar, Yaser Al Obeidi, Tolin Qafaf, and Abdullah Hodaib. PUST "Commiteam" won the third place and the team comprised of the students: Kareem Al Nabelsi, Fadi Odeh, and Mohammed Annan.
Fourteen projects from Arab universities participated in the leading ideas competition and UOP students won the first and second places. "TelecomAI" project, presented by Aseel Naji and Nazneen Ibrahaimi, won the first place and "Sibawayh" project won the second place and was submitted by the students: Zaina Beni Doumi, Sara Al Fayyoumi, and Dania Alrajbi. "DARB" project by the PhilaU student Tamer Omar Karaizi won the third place.
The participating projects were reviewed and discussed by the competition jury, consisting of experienced and qualified experts in software development in Jordan and the region.
The graduation projects competition witnessed the participation of fifty-seven projects by the students of seven Arab universities in: Palestine, Egypt, Iraq, and United Arab Emirates. In addition, sixteen Jordanian universities participated in the competition.
