The University of Petra has signed a cooperation and partnership agreement with the Irish company "MedWrite.ai", which specializes in digital health innovations. The agreement aims to develop joint research projects in the fields of AI-assisted clinical documentation, medical management, and to enhance innovation in the healthcare sector.
The signing ceremony was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Information Technology, Professor Waleed Hadi, Professor Firas Al-Sleihat, and Dr. Kenza Mansour from the university side, while MedWrite was represented by its CEO, Sean Kirwan.
The agreement stipulates the development of joint academic programs, short courses, career guidance pathways, as well as student training and joint supervision of postgraduate students. It also seeks to attract funding from governmental, private, and industrial sectors to develop new pilot models, and to support the commercialization of products and developed patents.
Furthermore, the agreement includes the organization of joint academic and scientific activities, including courses, conferences, and seminars, as well as the exchange of publications and materials of mutual interest, while fully adhering to the protection of intellectual property rights and the confidentiality of exchanged information and data in accordance with applicable regulations and laws.
