The President of the University of Petra, Prof. Rami Abdel-Rahim, participated in a symposium held by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD), with representatives of Jordanian universities present.
DAAD's regional director in Amman presented a working paper entitled "Academic Exchange between Jordan and Germany," which included an overview of individual students' transfer, institutional cooperation, and some areas of cultural and academic cooperation between Jordan and Germany.
The Director of the Office of External Funding for Research Projects at the University of Petra, Dr. Ali Al-Maqousi, indicated that DAAD programs and grants will be a good opportunity for researchers and students at the University, adding that the university seeks to be an effective partner in cooperation between Jordanian and German universities to serve the academic community in the two countries.
