The Government of Japan has conferred "the Order The Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Neck Ribbon" upon Prof. Mohammed Abu-Dayeh Matouq. The decision was made in response to Dr. Matouq's distinguished contribution to promoting academic exchange and mutual understanding between Japan and Jordan.
In this regard, Mr. Hayashi Yoshimasa, Minister of Foreign Affairs of japan, sent a congratulatory message to Dr. Matouq in recognition of his outstanding contributions.
The Government of Japan grants the medal to those who have made outstanding achievements in international relations or in spreading Japanese culture, and have significant contributions in promoting social and professional prosperity or in the preservation of the environment.
