Sheikh Dr. Mohammad Rateb Al-Nabulsi Presents Lecture on "Thoughts on Faith" at UOP

The University of Petra (UOP) hosted Sheikh Dr. Mohammad Rateb Al-Nabulsi to deliver a lecture entitled "Thoughts on Faith" as part of the student character building and Islamic awareness-raising activities held by the Deanship of Student Affairs.

Dr. Al-Nabulsi presented various religious highlights on the purpose of human being existence in life, referring that the good deeds are one of the greatest works after believe in Allah and the Last Day.

Dr. Al-Nabulsi addressed the physical tasks of Islam that help in movement promotion and improving the health and well-being of individuals, adding that technology solutions provided comfort and encouraged on laziness that results in weak body and various diseases infection.

Dr. Al-Nabulsi discussed the relationship between Islam and psychiatric as scientific research confirmed that the psychological state may lead to infection with multiple diseases, whereas faith achieves phycological tranquility, citing Ayat 82 of Surah Al-An'am, "It is those who believe and confuse not their beliefs with wrong – that are (truly) in security, for they are on (right) guidance", adding that human could only realize tranquility by faith.

Dr. Al-Nabulsi eventually called for preserving the blessing of stability in Jordan as the value of this blessing is known only if it is lost, emphasizing the need to draw lessons from countries suffering from insecurity.

UOP President Prof. Rami Abdel-Rahem presented university's honorary shield to Dr. Al-Nabulsi.
