University of Petra, represented by its President, Prof. Rami Abdel-Rahem, and the National Agricultural Research Center (NARC), represented by its Director General, Dr. Nizar Haddad, signed a memorandum of understanding aimed at enhancing cooperation in academic and scientific fields.
Prof. Abdel-Rahem expressed his pride in the University's cooperation with NARC, which took it upon itself to employ the output of scientific research. Such cooperation, Abdel-Rahem added, will enable the researchers and academics of UOP to conduct joint research projects with the Center's staff, and to benefit from the laboratory services provided by the Center. It will also allow the exchange of experiences between the two parties in the academic and scientific fields, and the involvement of the Center's researchers in dissertation discussion committees.
The Director General of NARC highlighted the importance of cooperation with academic and scientific institutions in promoting and developing scientific research mechanisms by building bridges of future cooperation. This memorandum, Dr. Haddad stressed, will enable the researchers of the Center and UOP academics to conduct joint projects that could have a positive impact on the agricultural sector, ultimately serving comprehensive agricultural development.
