The Faculty of Architecture and Design of the University of Petra (UOP-FAD) has organized a charity bazaar in favor of the King Hussein Cancer Center (KHCC), as part of the UOP-FAD Social Responsibility Policy and for raising the UOP-FAD students' awareness on the importance of conducting charitable activities to serve our community.
KHCC has participated in the bazaar through Dhukan Al-Khair that sold its products to the attendees of the bazaars, including teaching and administrative staff, UOP-FAD students, and students of other UOP faculties.
The charity bazaar was organized and managed by the members of the Communication and Sustainable Community Service Committee (CSCSC), its rapporteur Eng. Shaza Qatit, and 11 students of the community service course. UOP-FAD students performed shows of playing musical instruments and singing, and collected additional donations.
CSCSC at the UOP-FAD has convened various meetings at UOP and KHCC. UOP-FAD Dean Dr. Amer Al-Jawkhadar and representatives from KHCC, including: Hadi Badeer, Mohammad Sweidat, and Riham Al-Okar participated in the meeting, discussed activities and leading projects and means of cooperation between both parties, and developed a time-bound plan to achieve in the upcoming semesters.
