A research paper by Dr. Dirar Bala'awi from the University of Petra has been accepted for publication in a medical journal on the effectiveness of four vaccines for COVID-19. This study is the first of its kind in the world. It was in cooperation with doctors and specialists from several health and medical institutions.

The individuals who participated in conducting​ the study were Dr. Hassan Abdel-Qader Bala'awi, Dr. Firas Al-Hawari, and Dr. Mudhaffar Al-Jalamdeh from the Jordanian Ministry of Health, Dr. Jennifer Silverthorne from the University of Manchester, Dr. Konjid Kongkao from Naresuan University, Prof. Natheer Obeidat from the University of Jordan, Prof. Wael Hayajneh from Saint Louis University, Dr. Adel Al-Wahadneh from Saudi Hospital, Dr. Muhannad Al-Nsour and Muhammad Asaad from the Middle East Community Health Network, Dr. Abdullah Al-Harairi, Dr. Khaldoun Shnewer and Dr. Muhammad Da'saan from Smart Labs, Prof. Salah Abu Al-Ruz from the United Arab Emirates University, Khaldoun Naseer from King Abdullah University Hospital, and Pharmacist Ahmad Maslamani from Al Ain University.

Prof. Riyad Awad, Prof. Salim Hammadi, and Dr. Luay Abu-Qatouseh from the University of Petra documented the study. It examined the effectiveness of four types of COVID-19 vaccines on 2400 people. This study is the second part of the national project. The first part was published on the safety of these vaccines:
