UOP's Faculty of Law and Jordan Bar Association signed a memorandum of cooperation aimed at enhancing communication and cooperation, scaling up scholarly and professional levels, and building and developing students' capabilities.
The agreement was signed on behalf of UOP's president by the Dean of the Faculty of Law, Dr. Ali Al-Dabbas, and on behalf of the Bar Association by the Bar's president, Yahya Abu Abboud. Also attending the signing were Vice President of the Bar, Professor Waleed Al-Adwan, and members of the Faculty of Law at the University.
Dr. Ali Al-Dabbas explained that the agreement includes several aspects of cooperation between the two parties. The University will provide appropriate halls for BAR exams, hold annual joint seminars and conferences, raise students' awareness of the Bar's regulations and the ethics of the legal profession. Mutual cooperation between the two parties will include organizing seminars, workshops and moot courts, in addition to research.
Professor Yahya Abu Aboud, Head of the Bar Association, stressed the importance of cooperation with law faculties in providing students of law with the necessary knowledge and skills for their future work.
