Raheem attended the First International Conference on the Red Sea Ecosphere, which was held under the patronage of the Higher Council for Science and
Technology (HCST) President, HRH Prince Al Hassan Bin Talal.
HRH Prince Hassan has called for
establishing a body facilitating the exchange of experiences by the states
bordering the Red Sea and examined the common challenges to develop solutions
enhancing the active regional commonalities.
A large number of researchers
from around the world have participated in the conference with papers on the
geological components, marine environment, and pollution problems of the Red
Sea.
Due to the environmental changes
that have taken place in the Red Sea, the researchers have recommended that the states
bordering the Red Sea apply the policies and procedures to minimize pollution and to preverve the environmental future of the Red Sea.
