Prof. Mohammed Al-Anani, Vice President of the University of Petra (UOP), opened 13th Job Fair for UOP graduates and job seekers.
Eighty-three companies working in industrial and services sectors and non-governmental organizations as well as the Ministry of Labor took part in the fair. The Job Fair is expected to provide one hundred and fifty jobs.
Prof. Anani said: “UOP organizes job fair annually to help UOP graduates and job seekers and seeks to increase the number of participating companies and provide more jobs in collaboration with the Ministry of Labor”.
Dr. Ghazi Abu-Zeitoon, Dean of Student Affairs, noted that the Career Counselling and Follow-up of Graduates Office (CCFGO) communicated with the companies wishing to participate in the Job fair and sent SMS to graduates inviting them to attend the job fair. “UOP seeks to obtain feedback on employers’ satisfaction with UOP graduates to improve UOP academic programs,” Dr. Abu-Zeitoon added.
The Labor Ministry representative said that this job fair helps job seekers to meet with the employers and find job opportunities.
The Ministry of Labor called job seekers to attend the fair and learn about the available job opportunities. It is anticipated that 150 administrative, engineering, logistic and nursing jobs will be offered.
The Ministry of Labor invited the job seekers to take part in the fair and meet representatives of the participating companies. For more information, please visit the National E-Employment System website: www.nees.jo
