UOP President Prof. Marwan Muwalla and the delegation of Queen’s University Belfast (QUB) discussed signing cooperation agreements in the areas of scientific research, student exchange and sharing experiences.
Several faculties' deans and managers of departments attended the meeting. QUB’s Delegation consisted of academic staff and relations development experts from the medical, engineering and social sciences faculties and QUB Strategic Advisor Dr. Muhannad Odeh.
Prof. Muwalla made a brief presentation on the key achievements made by the University of Petra (UOP), including international accreditation certificates UOP have obtained recently.
Prof. Muwalla affirmed UOP commitment to enhance its relations with world universities and ensure preparing qualified students to compete in the local and international labor markets.
From its part, the Dean of International Studies Prof. Michael Alcorn confirmed its interest in promoting cooperation and communication with UOP and QUB.
QUB is one of the oldest nine universities in the United Kingdom. QUB was ranked first in transferring academic sciences to Knowledge Transfer Partnership program. QUB also took the eighth place in UK in terms of the research outputs and is one of the advanced and prestigious universities offering minor majors.
