Dr. Tariq Rimawi won the first award “Golden Cleopatra” in the seventh session of the International Festival for Short Films (CAM) for his animated film “Surprise” in Egypt. The seventh session of the festival entitled “Jerusalem Session” witnessed the participation of contestants from 41 Arab and Foreign state, including: Jordan, Morocco, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Syria, Georgia, Brazil, United Kingdom, Germany and the Netherlands. The Festival presents three awards for best short films, documentary-feature firms and animated films.
Dr. Tariq Rimawi is a professor in the Animation and Multimedia Department of the University of Petra (UOP). He directed three short films that were shown in greater than 180 festivals and has obtained 15 awards in Local, regional and international festivals.
