Yesterday evening, the Royal Film Commission of Jordan announced the name of the first winners of the short documentary competition. Aya Al-Haj Hassan won first place for the film “Ancient Door”. Anwar Abdul Razaq Shawabkeh from the Faculty of Journalism at the University of Petra won second place for “Amman in Motion”. Lara Khazaleh won third place for “Yemeni Market”. Finally, Firas Al Qasas won the Governors Award for “Abu Alaa”.
The Referees Committee was composed of Jordanian Artists like Sari Assad and Nadira Omran as well as the Producer Mohammad Hashki.
In the competition, seventeen films were produced with the use of mobile devices during the training workshop for the manufacture of films, held by the Royal Film Commission in Jordan entitled “Your Mobile Tells It” withthe collaboration of LG Corporation. The films dealt with daily life issues.
