Afaf Abdalrahman, Director of the University of Petra (UOP) Library, opened a 7 Day Book-Reusing Fair in the presence of teaching staff, administrative staff and UOP students.
The fair aims to share books of taken courses among UOP students, promote students to cooperate with each other and raise their awareness of the significance of books and knowledge-sharing by all means available. The slogan of fair was: "Partners in Success and Knowledge-Sharing".
UOP allocated boxes for used books. The students of Faculty of Architecture & Design (FAD) designed those boxes under the supervision of Faculty Dean Prof. Hadeer Merza and Dr. Yasser Abu Hashem. Those boxes will be placed at UOP faculties to encourage students putting used books inside them and eventually displaying collected books at Book-Reusing Fair, which will be organized every semester.
