Hussein Al-Bahadili,, " Modeling and Analysis of Cloud Collaborative Commerce " , "International Journal on Cloud Computing: Services and Architecture (IJCCSA)",Vol. 3,No.1, AIRCC, international, 02/26/2013 Abstract:
Cloud computing has the potential to be particularly suitable for collaboration commerce (c-commerce) because it generally requires less extensive customization, development, integration, operation, and maintenance than other computing resources. However, upgrading c-commerce IT infrastructure, to run on cloud computing, faces a number of challenges, such as lack of effective design and implementation models. This paper describes and evaluates the performance of a new model of c-commerce that utilizes the evolving cloud computing technologies; as a result of that it is referred to as cloud collaborative commerce (cc-commerce) model. The model consists of six main components, these are: client, provider, auditor, broker, security and privacy, and communications network. The new cc-commerce model is used to develop a simple and flexible Web-based test tool, namely, the cc-commerce test (3CT) tool. The performance of the new model is evaluated by measuring the response times for four different configurations using the 3CT tool. The results obtained demonstrate that the cc-commerce model performs faster than equivalent c-commerce models. URL: http://airccse.org/journal/ijccsa/current2013.html

Cloud Computing IT infrastructure has the potential to be particularly suitable for collaborative commerce (c-commerce) applications; because it generally requires less efforts and interferences for development, customization, integration, operation, and maintenance than other traditional IT infrastructures (e.g., on-premises and data centers). However, upgrading c-commerce applications running on traditional IT infrastructures, to run efficiently on cloud computing infrastructure, faces a number of challenges, mainly, lack of effective and reliable architectural model. This paper presents a description of a new architectural model for developing cloud computing based c-commerce applications; which is denoted as cc-commerce model. The model is an basically based on the standard cloud computing model, and it consists of six main components; these are: client, provider, auditor, broker, security and privacy, and communications network. The new model is implemented in a simple and flexible Web-based test tool, namely, the cc-commerce test (3CT) tool, which is used to evaluate the performance of the model through measuring the response times for four different configurations. The analysis of the obtained results demonstrates that the cc-commerce model can provide better response time than equivalent c-commerce models.

Ghassan F. Issa, Hay, " A Framework for Collaborative Networked Learning in Higher Education: Design & Analysis " , "International Journal of Emerging Technologies in Learning (iJET)",Vol.9,No.4, iJET, , 07/27/2014 Abstract:
This paper presents a comprehensive framework for building collaborative learning networks within higher educational institutions. This framework focuses on systems design and implementation issues in addition to a complete set of evaluation, and analysis tools. The objective of this project is to improve the standards of higher education in Jordan through the implementation of transparent, collaborative, innovative, and modern quality educational programs. The framework highlights the major steps required to plan, design, and implement collaborative learning systems. Several issues are discussed such as unification of courses and program of studies, using appropriate learning management system, software design development using Agile methodology, infrastructure design, access issues, proprietary data storage, and social network analysis (SNA) techniques.

The objective of installing a residential photovoltaic system is to cut the cost of the monthly electric bill. However, many homeowners, especially those with low-income, find it difficult to invest in such systems because require substantial upfront investment. This chapter presents a project called PSD-LAG( “Sharing and Distribution of Power-Local Area Grid”) which attempts to solve the issue of installation cost relying on the concept of power sharing and distribution. Thus two or more neighboring households can share the cost of installation, and accordingly share the generated electric power. A Demand-Driven algorithm is implemented and is embedded in a micro-processor based control unit, called "Intelligent Power Distribution and Control Unit (IPDC Unit)", over sees the operation of the PSD-LAG system. It reads the status of generated power, power requirements for each home, power quota for each home, and accordingly controls a set of hardware devices to distribute the power in a most efficient manner based on usage and quota. At the core of the PSD-LAG is an Intelligent Power Distribution and Control Unit (IPDC Unit) that provides instantaneous monitoring, protection and control. It is an embedded Operating System that reads the status of generated power, power requirements for each home, power quota for each home, and accordingly controls a set of hardware devices to distribute the power in a most efficient manner based on usage and quota.

The Cost of installing a photovoltaic solar system for household remains high and exceeds the budget of most residential homes. This paper presents a solution that is based on resource sharing such as that found in local area networks called LAG. The solution is intended to be used in households that exist within close proximity such as residential buildings or complexes. The LAG System works both on and off the National Grid. The Core of the LAG system is an operating system that works on managing power resources in the most efficient manner.
