This course aims to familiarize students with the features of radio and television channels, its tools, nature of work in radio and television, components of production and kinds of radio and television programs.

In this course, the student will study the significance of the spoken words in terms of their relation to topic, content and form. Moreover, they will learn about the principles, features and forms of writing for radio and television through practical exercises.
802110 Technical Skills in Broadcast & Television Production (1)
Prerequisite: 802106
This course focuses on teaching students the basic radio and television skills and how to deal with radio and television techniques which enhance their ability to enter the field of radio and television production.
802202 Radio and Television Interview
Prerequisite: 802106
In this course, the students will learn about the definition, features, types of radio and television interview and employing them in all kinds of programs. The students will be trained on the art of dialogue leading by selecting the interview topic, formulation of questions, assessing the interviewee personality and carrying the interview out.
802204 News Coverage for Radio and Television

This course helps students to theoretically and practically learn about the definition of news, sources of news, method of gathering information, kinds of news coverage for radio and television, requirements of news coverage in terms of preparation and implementation and functions of correspondent and team tasked with news coverage.
802206 Radio and Television Investigation

This course aims at helping students to acquire research and investigation skills to prepare radio and television investigations. In this course, the students learn the standards followed in selecting the topic of investigation, method of dealing with information sources, planning for investigation and implementing investigation in both form and substance.

This course aims to familiarize students with the nature, development and forms of the radio news programs through studying and assessing various samples of programs. Students are trained on designing and producing news releases, dialogue programs and news programs.

This course aims to familiarize students with the nature, development and forms of the television news programs through studying and assessing various samples of programs. Students are trained on designing and producing news releases, news programs and special news programs.
802214 Media Ethics and Legislations

In this course, students will learn about the laws and regulations governing media in Jordan. Furthermore, students will study the law of Jordan Press Association (JPA) and the Code of Ethics for Journalists and learn about bodies responsible for monitoring application of media-related laws and respect of press freedoms.

This course aims to familiarize students with the types, contents, styles of different types of programs, such as: Miscellaneous programs, cultural programs, radio journals, dialogue programs and documentaries. Moreover, the course discusses planning for programs, developing daily broadcasts programs, phases of developing, producing and presenting programs.

This course aims to familiarize students with the definition, features, significance and development phases of documentary films.
802308 Radio and Television Performance

This course aims to familiarize students will skills necessary in radio and television. Moreover, students will be also be trained to improve their skills as well as performance in using the microphones and cameras through a set of practical exercises, including: Presenting miscellaneous programs, news releases, leading dialogue programs and reading different instructions.

This course aims to acquaint students with the features and objectives of radio and television advertisement in addition to the basic principles in designing and producing radio and television advertising materials.

This course helps students in learning about the most important theories and samples of human communication and interprets the relation of each component in communication process to the media and its relation to political and social environment.
802404 Applications in the Production of Documentary Film

This course helps students to acquire a deep understanding on the documentary films’ production through preparing and producing short documentary films.
802432 Radio and Television Direction
Prerequisite: 802302
This course helps students to become aware of the principles and schools of radio and television directing, duties of the director in all stages in and out studio through theoretical study and reviewing different practical examples of programs.
802498 Field Training
Prerequisite: Passing 80 credit hours at least
This course aims to prepare the student for joining the labor market through joining a two-month training program in a media agency or establishment and under the supervision of the faculty.
802499 Graduation Project
Prerequisite: Passing 99 credit hours
In this course, the student is tasked with developing a graduation project that serves as an outcome of his years of study and the project may take form of radio or television programs. The student's work is supervised and publicly discussed and refereed.

This course aims to familiarize students to the concept, features and requirements of digital media from theoretical and practical point of views. During the course, the students will acquire knowledge on the principles of editing and producing the media contents for media websites.

This course aims to provide students with essential information on the definition, kinds and development of drama. Furthermore, it introduces students to the rules of writing plays and improves their abilities to criticize dramatic works on scientific grounds.

By this course, the students gain a clear idea on the radio and television programs for children and the significance of benefiting from the principles of children psychology and education to prepare programs that meet the children needs and improve their creative skills.
