Modern Languages: French Language, English Language, and Their Literature

Overview

Our Department aims to provide students with basic language skills (listening, speaking, reading and writing) and to help the students developing their communication skills in both French and English languages.

Sixty percent (60%) of the courses included in the degree programme syllabus

are in French whilest the rest (40%) are English courses. The Department endeavors to prepare graduates to be competent in both languages. Having completed the requirements of the B.A. Degree, students are granted a degree in both English and French.

Preparing highly qualified students in French and English by using modern techniques and teaching methods that are compatible with the contemporary requirements.
Providing students with the basic French and English language skills, including listening, reading, speech and writing; to help students communicate effectively with others and express their opinions and ideas eloquently.
Providing students with specialized knowledge in various fields in French and English in tourism, commerce, and education.
Improving students' abilities in foreign languages to match the international standards.
reinforcing scientific research in the French and English languages.
Implanting sense of patriotism in students.
