Overview
Management Information Systems (MIS) is a discipline that integrates  tools and methods of business administration and technological systems and applications to achieve organizations’ objectives and expansion. MIS combines between management, information technology and computer systems with a view to developing information systems for upgrading organizations’ performance, streamlining complex administrative processes and providing high-value information.
The department has an integrated study plan that consists of 132 credit hour. The study plan includes courses in information technology and business administration to prepare graduates who can develop and manage information systems. In addition to theoretical courses that are taught in English, department’s students are trained on using technological systems and applications at modern computer laboratories. 
MIS-specialized student can work as systems analyst, information systems designer, databases designer and developer, websites developer, online business development officer...etc.
The department has teaching staff with high qualifications and deep experience. The teaching staff work as a team to achieve exceptional performance.
The department achieved distinctive results in the university competency test organized by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. The department ranked first to private universities in 2007 spring session and achieved average above the national average in 2007 autumn session.
To be a center for excellence and creativity that graduates highly qualified talents who are able to compete in business environment and use technology in business organizations at Jordan and Arab region.
Providing necessary knowledge and building needed skills to meet the needs of labor market needs and encounter changes in business environment by continuous improvement of educational process and expanding scientific and applied research.

  • Introducing latest developments in information technology and its different applications to students.
  •  Providing students with knowledge and needed skills to bridge the gap between the needs of the business environment and IT opportunities.
  • Creating an environment for teaching staff and near graduates to carry out scientific and applied research.
  • Providing consulting and training services to the local community.
