:الملخص

Motivated by my knowledge that sustainable architecture resources are limited in the Arab world, and rarely produced in Arabic language, I went on to design a website which would be accessible to architecture students. The site provides an introduction to to sustainable design, as well as the tools that are available to help them to design more sustainably. The website focuses on spreading awareness about the huge role architecture has to play in the environmental challenges that face the world (dramatic changes in climate, limitations in fossil fuels and international demand for reducing CO2 emissions). In addition, conceptual massing modelling is introduced as one of the most important stages to decrease the energy consumption in future construction, with an understanding of how renewable energy available on site can decrease the non-renewable energy consumption, and to emphasize how design decisions drive energy use and environmental impacts.
