Jan 2011 – Apr 2013: MENA Regional Manager at Synthon B.V. Nijmegen, the Netherlands. Responsible for setting up the foundations of the new MENA regional office in Amman (Jordan) and leading the regional team to implement the business strategy for the region.
Jun 2010 – Dec 2010: MENA Business Development Manager at Synthon B.V. Nijmegen, the Netherlands. Responsible for setting up the strategy and business set up of new business in the MENA region.
Mar 2009 – May 2010: Project Leader in R&D at Synthon B.V. Nijmegen, the Netherlands. Responsible for leading several R&D projects, leading formulation studies, supervising scaling up at industrial scales.

Responsible for the delivery of New Chemical Entities projects from candidate selection to production, coaching junior formulators and analysts and setting up clinical formulation and clinical manufacturing strategies. Apr 2007 – Mar 2008: Business Development Manager for Modern Drug Store, Amman – Jordan. During this period I worked as a business development manager in Amman Jordan with Modern Drug Store, a local pharmaceutical distribution company. During this short period I managed to expand this company’s business into cosmetics by introducing Eurocosmesi company
Nov 2001 – Apr 2006: Scientist then promoted to Senior Scientist in New Chemical Entities (NCEs) - R&D, GlaxoSmithKline Ware – UK. Responsible for developing new formulations and for leading the clinical manufacturing of batches supporting clinical trials throughout phases I to III.
Apr 2000 – Oct 2001: Postdoctoral Research Fellowship, School of Pharmacy - Queen’s University, Belfast – UK. Project title was “Extended intra-oral release of fluoride”. The project was sponsored by Unilever to look for a novel formulation to extend the release of fluoride in the oral cavity to treat dental caries. I developed a novel formulation using microencapsulation through spray drying technique. Bioadhesion tests were set for this formulation to evaluate the time of residence inside the oral cavity. During this period I also supervised a student on a project to make extended release sponges that could be used for surgical purposes. The student completed her work successfully and a paper was published from the work.

1994 – 1995: – Professional Sales Representative, Upjohn Pharmaceuticals Jordan – responsible for launching and promoting the company’s products in the country. I also represented the company in a number of medical conferences.
1992 – 1994: Senior Medical Representative, Schering Plough Incorporation, Jordan – Responsible for the launch and promotion of pharmaceutical products of the company and overlooking sales of the OTC line. I also represented the company in a number of medical conferences.
