Exams and Grading:  
  1. Passing grade for graduate courses is C+  
  2. Passing grade for pre-Master's courses is D
  3. The minimum cumulative GPA to pass the Master's program is (3.0)  
  4. A Student can repeat at most two courses for the purpose of raising his/her GPA. Only the higher grade among the repeated courses is used in the calculation of GPA.  
  5. Grade Assignment for regular Graduate courses:
    • Semester Work: worth (60%) of final course grade, and consists of the following:
      • At least one exam (30%)
      • Second exam, research, reports, etc. (30%)
      • Final exam: worth (40%) of final course grade  

Grade Assignment for other types of courses:

These courses include seminars, research oriented courses, Laboratory courses, practical training courses, etc. Grades for these courses depend on the type of work and activities involved. A lump sum grade is assigned at the end.

Below Average (Minimally Accepted)

Below 2.00

Fail


Registration for Thesis:

 

Students are permitted to register for Thesis if they meet the following conditions:

  • Pass (18) Credit Hours

     

  • Accumulative GPA not less than 3.0

     

  • Student is assigned a graduate supervisor

     

  • Master's Proposal is approved
