UOP Mourns Shireen Abu Akleh and Denounces Occupation Attacks Against Journalists

The Faculty of Mass Communication (FMC) of the University of Petra (UOP) mourned the killing of the journalist Shireen Abu Akleh by the Israeli Army, recalling the journalist's milestones and contributions in detecting the Israeli Army violations and attacks against Palestinians.

The FMC-UOP praised Abu Akleh's professional qualities and career and deemed her as a guiding model for FMM students in professionalism, patriotism and dedication work for serving the national issues, in addition to applauding the journalists risking their lives to cover the attacks and violations against the Palestinian people.

The UOP President, teaching staff, administrative staff and students extended their deepest condolences to the bereaved family and to the Palestinian people and invited the international organizations to take practical and effective steps against the occupation's violations and attacks against the journalists and correspondents.
