The UOP Nutrition and Diets Department and Celiac and Non-Celiac Care Providers Society have participated in "Change Day" Initiative under the slogan "Medicine Without Harms" organized at the Jordanian Royal Medical Services (JRMS) headquarter by the Health Care Accreditation Council (HCAC) for the ninth consecutive year under the patronage of Princess Mona Al-Hussein.

The Initiative intends to shed light into the initiatives aiming at ensuring the safety and health of the patients and visitors in the health institutions.

Princess Mona Al-Hussein expressed support for all initiatives of "medicine without harms" in Jordan and called law enforcers to activate laws and regulations with a view to ensuring the safety and health of patients and visitors.

The "Change Day" Initiative coincides with the Patient Safety World Day declared by the World Health Organization (WHO).

Dr. Nour AlSahouri, Therapy Nutrition Specialist Ms. Nagam Irshid, and Ms. Ghaida Abu Dolat represented the UOP Nutrition and Diets Department. The participants emphasized the need to understand the impact of celiac allergy through food and medicine when necessary and promote scientific research on ways to treat food allergy in the Jordanian society. They also emphasized the need to raise awareness in all segments of society to deal with the food allergy and celiac allergy among children and adults.
