UOP Organizes 12th Job Fair

Prof. Mohammed Al-Anani, Vice President of the University of Petra (UOP), opened 12th Job Fair at sports hall of the Student Affairs Deanship with the participation of 75 local and international companies.
The Job Fair, which was organized by UOP in cooperation with the Ministry of Labor (MoL), aims to gather leading companies and training centers and provide job opportunities to fresh graduates and expected graduates.
"UOP seeks to organize the Job Fair on a yearly basis to familiarize students with labor market needs, provide job opportunities to university students and provide human resources to national organizations and establishments," Prof. Anani said.
The Job Fair witnessed the participation of 75 local and international companies, which provided 760 job opportunities in the sectors of telecommunications, banks, grand hotels, media agencies, engineering companies and other business sectors.
Dr. Ghazi Abu-Zeitoon, Dean of Students Affairs, said that the active participation of national companies contributed in providing the opportunity to students to find a job and start their career life.
"UOP seeks to invite career consultations centers to hold workshops on rules of successful job interviews and writing curriculum vitae,” Dr. Abu-Zeitoon added.
Maisa'a Moustafa, Head of Career Counseling and the Follow-up of Graduates Office (CCFGO), pointed out that UOP organizes free of charge specialized courses on social communication skills, projects management and self-improvement for students in order to gain skills and knowledge that are needed in the labor Market.
The events of Job Fair included training courses and workshops on writing curriculum vitae and rules for successful job interviews.
