Researchers from the University of Petra (UOP) Come with COVID-19 Inhibitors

A number of researchers from the University of Petra (UOP) managed to find two types of inhibitor medicines of the major enzyme of COVID-19 reducing the replication of the virus.

The research findings were published in Dove Journal by the following researchers: Dr. Heba Abdul Haleem, Dr. Suzanne Abdel Malek, Pharmacist Malak Hajar, and Pharmacist Lama Hassouna.

FPMS Deputy Dean Dr. Saleem Hamadi said that the research findings are a positive step towards adopting new and effective medicines for eradicating COVID-19, which will be followed by various clinical studies to prove the medicines' effectiveness.

It is worth mentioning that Dr. Heba Abdul Haleem passed away when this research was submitted for publication.
