The University of Petra (UOP) announces its need to appoint a Member of Teaching Staff in the Civil Engineering Department - Faculty of Engineering, according to the following requirements and conditions:
Is a holder of a PhD degree/Associate Professor rank in Geotechnical Engineering.
Has graduated from a prestigious and recognized university and acquired a minimum of 8 years of engineering teaching experience at the university level.
Has obtained the rank of associate professor from an accredited university.
Has published a minimum of five relevant research papers published in the journals of the international conferences or international peer-reviewed journals.
Has experience in refereeing research papers for global and local periodical journals.
Has experience in supervising Master Theses, provided that he/she has supervised at least two master theses.
Has occupied the managerial position of a department chair in other universities for three years and has supported the department/university in obtaining local and international accreditation certificates.
Has acquired a minimum of five years of relevant experience.
Enjoys advanced computer skills and has mastered blended learning techniques.
Holds Jordanian nationality.
Is not committed to work with a public or private institution.
Required documents:
- Curriculum vitae.
- Copy of the latest identity card.
- Authenticated copies of General Secondary Study, BA, MA and PhD certificates.
- Authenticated copy of the equivalent certificate issued by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, for certificates issued by the non-Jordanian universities.
- Copies of research papers that have been published or accepted for publication.
- An acknowledgement of non-compliance to third party upon appointment.
- Copy of the experience certificates.
