Conditions for Admission & Required Documents in Bachelor Program
First: Conditions for Admission to Bachelor Programs:
A. Students with General Secondary Education Certificate:

Holding the General Secondary Education Certificate or its Equivalent.

The student’s high school average must not be less than the minimum required to study major.

Passing the “technical abilities” test for students wishing to study Passing the “technical abilities” test for students wishing to study any of the majors of the Faculty of Architecture and Design.
B. Students who hold a Diploma certificate and wish to bridge their studies:

Students (inside Jordan) who want to bridge their studies and who have a community college diploma (Al-Shamil) will be accepted at an average of no less than (68%) in the university's faculties, except for Pharmacy, Architecture and Engineering which require not less than 70%. 50% of the plan's credit hours are equalized, except for the pharmacy major where the percentage is 25% of the study plan and provided that the courses whose grades are less than 60% are not equalized.

Students (outside Jordan) who want to bridge their studies and who have a community college diploma will be accepted,
provided they present an official letter from the Ministry of Higher Education of the student’s country or the embassy of that student's country. The letter must state that the said diploma qualifies its holders to pursue his/her university studies to the studies to theof a Bachelor’s Degree in his/her country. Alternatively, students may obtain an equivalency diploma from the Jordanian Ministry of Higher Education and 50% of the study plan's credit hours are equalized, except for the pharmacy major where the percentage is 25% of the study plan and provided that the courses whose grades are less than 60% are not equalized.
Second: Documents required for Bachelor programs:
A. Students with General Secondary Education Certificate:

Transcript of Jordanian General Secondary Education or its equivalent, duly certified in (Arabic and English).

Equivalent of the General Secondary Education Certificate for foreign degree students or Arab certificates that need an equivalent from the Ministry of Education.

A copy of the Identity document (Identity Card issued by CSPD for Jordanians and Passport for non-Jordanians).

One personal photo.

Non-Jordanian students must visit their respective country embassies in Jordan to provide the University with an official Non-Contest Letter to study at UOP, as is required by some nationalities.
B. Students with Diploma Degrees:

All documents required by holders of the General Secondary Education Certificate.

A copy of the comprehensive duly certified by the Jordanian Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

Transcript certified by the Jordanian Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

If the diploma degree was issued outside Jordan, the student must provide the university with an official letter from the Ministry of Higher Education of the country who issued that degree or from that country’s embassy in Jordan stating that the said diploma qualifies its holder to pursue his/her university studies in his/her country. Students who hold Jordanian nationality are exempted from this and country. Students who hold Jordanian nationality are exempted from this and are required to equalize their Diploma Degree from the Jordanian Ministry of Higher Education.

The student’s GPA in the Bachelor Degree is not less than 'Good' or its equivalent.

The student must obtain the test certificate for the English language (accompanied by a letter of authenticity), according to the table below:

Second: Documents Required for MA Program:

A duly certified general secondary education certificate or its equivalent.

A copy of Bachelor Degree and university transcript duly certified by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

Equivalency certificate of the Bachelor Degree issued by the Jordanian Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research (for graduates whose certificates need to be equalized).

Proof of obtaining the required score in the English Language Examination (Proof of obtaining the required score in the English Language Examination (accompanied by a letter of authenticity)

Letter of Recognition of the University of Petra from non-Jordanian students’ embassies.

Copy of official identity document (Civil Status Card issued for Jordanians and Passport for non-Jordanians).
