Overview
The Faculty of Mass Communication was established in 2015 as a step to develop the Department of Journalism and Media in the Faculty of Arts and Sciences, which was established in 1991. This department was the first department in this specialization in private Jordanian universities. Since it was a department, the faculty has graduated hundreds of graduates, many of whom are currently working in prestigious Jordanian, Arab and international media organizations. The faculty offers four comprehensive academic programs, three of which are at the bachelor's level and include Radio and Television, Journalism and Digital Media, and Digital Promotional Media, in addition to a master's degree in journalism and Mass Communication. These programs qualify students academically and practically through training in the advanced radio and television laboratories and studios provided by the university to hone the skills and experiences of students, and qualify them to work in the media fields: print, video, audio, and digital.

The Faculty of Mass Communication aspires to be the best and first choice for those wishing to study the media major locally, regionally and internationally.​

​Providing a distinguished scientific environment that contributes to the dissemination of knowledge and the development of graduates' skills in the field of Mass Communication in its various branches in accordance with international best practices.


  1. Providing students with scientific knowledge and practical applications necessary to obtain distinguished and competitive in the labor market.​
  2. Continuous development of study programs, in line with the rapid developments in communication technology and electronic and blended learning methods and linking them to the current and future needs of the media labor market.​
  3. Cooperating with local, regional and international higher education institutions to develop media education and training.​
  4. Develop scientific research in the areas of communication and media to serve the development of professional performance, community service and sustainable development.​
  5. Contribute to the development of society by providing the necessary communication and media services for its development.​
  6. Contribute to the development of the media sector by providing specialized studies, training and advisory services in all media disciplines.​​
  7. Attracting distinguished academic, technical and administrative cadres in the media field, and continuously developing their capabilities in keeping with technological developments.​
  8. Develop students' creative, pioneering and critical thinking and enable them to use scientific curricula in research and writing.​
  9. ​Expanding the network of relations with local, regional and international press and media institutions to train students and serve the media sector.
