Chemistry department in Petra University arranged a scientific visit to the Royal Scientific Society on

. This visit was coordinated by Dr. Abdelmnim Altwaiq as a part of the Instrumental methods course. At the beginning of the program, Mr. Muhammad Abu Othman (industrial chemistry division) presented a brief introduction about the Royal society and its roles on laboratory testing, energy and environment research. The speaker has also pointed that the society could offer fund for small project.
Additionally, the laboratory supervisors explained to the students How to perform laboratory tests to analyze pesticides using chromatographic methods. Tests of oil, toxic heavy metals and medical gases
were also explained to the students by the supervisors.
The student questions were finally answered by the research staff at the society.
Later (on 16-11-2016), some students from chemistry department with other from Petra University visited the patient children in King Hussein cancer center. More than 60 gifts were presented to children between 3 and 12 years old. This visit had great influence on introducing the happiness on the children faces.
