UOP Hosts Workshop on Participatory Design

The University of Petra (UOP) hosted a workshop on “Participatory Design”. The workshop was organized by the Center for the Study of the Built Environment (CSBE) and given by CSBC Co-Manager Eng. Lara Zreiqat. UOP Representative and Architecture Department Chair Dr. Khaled Al-tarazi, a number UOP Architecture Department students and a number of Jordan University students attended the workshop.

The workshop is the first from a series of workshops that aim to train students, engineers and designers on helping the most-disadvantaged schools to improve school environment and train students on design principles and phases of design, implementation and sustainability to improve their schools.

Eng. Zreiqat reviewed the achievements made in the previous workshop along with the plans that will be implemented in coordination with four Jordanian universities, including UOP.

Dr. Hadeer Merza, Dean of Faculty of Architecture & Design (FAD), delivered UOP Shield to Eng. Zreiqat and appreciated her efforts aimed at continuing cooperation between CSOs and International Donors.
