Overview
Business administration is a major that focuses on helping students to acquire necessary skills and knowledge to interact in work environment in a positive manner. That is achieved through employing modern management theories and concepts, using information technology to qualify graduates, promoting their decision-making and problem-solving skills and analyzing markets. Thus, graduates can add value in the organizations they work for. The department of business administration provides a 132 credit hour study plan that consists of university, faculty and department requirements The department strives to prepare students to work at various administrative positions in public and private companies inside and outside Jordan and improve students’ ability to establish small enterprises and competently manage them. They can persue higher studies in Jordanian and foreign universities. The department is currently updating study plans in line with the requirements of local and Arab market and in conformity with scientific and technological developments, particularly with regards to using computer as well as English language in teaching and encouraging teaching staff and students to carry scientific research out. The department manages and holds the activities of business incubator. The department achieved positive results in university competency test in all sessions. The department came second In the first semester 2006/2007, came first in the second semester 2006/2007 and achieved above the national average for first and second semesters 2007/2008.
