UOP Organizes Football Championship for Media Institutions

The organizing committee of UOP Football Championship for Media Institutions announced that six teams will compete in the championship organized by UOP every year in celebration of the King's Birthday.
The matches will take place at the closed sports hall from 18th to 26th of March under the patronage of UOP President Prof. Marwan Muwalla who gives special attention to the championship and UOP's celebration of the national holidays.
The championship draw took place at UOP Club in the presence of representatives of the participating media institutions. The draw resulted in putting UOP team, JRTVC team and Jordan Sport Information Federation (JSIF) team in group I and AlMamlaka TV team, Roya TV team and Jordan Today TV team in group II.
The matches will commence next Sunday with a match between UOP team JRTVC team, a match between JSIF team with JRTVC team and Jordan Today team with Roya TV team on Monday. The first round will end on Tuesday with two matches between Jordan Today TV team vs. Roya TV team and JSIF team vs. UOP team.
The championship rules provide qualifying the first and second teams in both groups to the semifinals, which will take place on Sunday, 25th of March. The final match will take place on Monday 26th of March.
Dr. Eyad Mallah, member of the championship organizing committee, stated that a set of the Jordanian football players representing the International Players Association (IPS) and Greater Amman Municipality (GAM) were invited to present an exhibition match, adding that an exhibition match will be organized for the women team towards launching AFC Women's Asian Cup.
