Educational Sciences Department Hosts Lecture Teacher from Waldorf School of Jordan

The Educational Sciences Department hosted Ms. Sandra Varoqua who teaches in Waldorf School of Jordan. Ms. Varoqua took part in a lecture of Issues and Modern Trends in Early Childhood Course that is taught by Dr. Aseel Shawareb. Ms. Varoqua talked about Waldorf education pedagogy founded by the Austrian Philosopher Rudolf Steiner in 1919 in the city of Stuttgart, Germany. Waldorf education pedagogy is widely accepted in the central European countries. It aims to promote free will, respect morality and improve pupils’ social skills. Waldorf education strives to develop pupils' intellectual, artistic, and practical skills, including painting, dancing and music. There are 200 Waldorf Schools in Germany and 1000 Waldorf Schools worldwide. Waldorf School is present in Egypt and has been recently established in Jordan. The Educational Sciences Department takes pride that Ms. Varoqua was one of the graduates of Child Education Department in 2016.
