FMC Dean Meets New Students

Prof. Tayseer Abu Arja, Dean of the Faculty of Mass Communication (FMC), urged new students to expand their knowledge and improve their language skills through reading books on various topics that are available at UOP Library and monitoring all media outlets on the ground that wide knowledge is a key prerequisite for working in media field.
That statement was made by Prof. Abu Arja during his meeting with new students admitted to FMC in the First Semester 2017/2018. Prof. Abu Arja clarified FMC plans to obtain accreditation certificates and link its curricula to labor market needs in coordination with Jordanian Media Institutions.
Prof. Abu Arja called new students to make use of training radio and television studios and laboratories in order for them to acquire required media skills.
Prof. Abu Arja also urged students to publish their contributions in menbarpetra E-Newspaper.
At the conclusion of the meeting, Prof. Abu Arja responded to students’ queries. Chair of Radio and Television Department Dr. Ibrahim Khasawna and FMC Dean Assistant for Quality Assurance Affairs Dr. Abdulkarim Aldubaisi attended the meeting.
