FAFS-UOP Students Participate in JACPA Workshop

The students of Accounting Department and Banking and Finance Department participated in a workshop organized by the Jordan Association of Certified Public Accountants (JACPA) under the title (Your Career: Success Story) in cooperation with the Career Counselling and Follow-up of Graduates Office (CCFGO) and King Abdullah II Fund for Development (KAFD). Accounting Department Chair Dr. Mohammad Alqam, Dr. Banan Alfalah and Dr. Hassan Al Jada’ accompanied the participants.
Several professionals presented their success stories. Orange Jordan Finance Manager Mr. Raslan Diraniah clarified the importance of professional certificates and the need for adapting to the new and changing requirements of the economic and financial positions.
The Regional Director in India, Middle East and Africa Mr. Yoshir Malhatora discussed the importance of obtaining Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certificate during the last years of study.
Ernst & Young (EY) Finance Manager Mr. Ahmad Abu Sulha discussed the personal as well as technical skills the graduate must possess to compete in the labor market, such as: Language skills, sitting for professional examinations, communication skills in the workplace, work under pressure and taking responsibility.
Al Khaldi Hospital Finance Manager Mr. Ahmad Aloartani mentioned the importance of benefiting from the last years of study to obtain this important professional certificate.
