A number of chemistry students of the University of Petra (UOP) visited on Thursday 12/10/2017 Jordan Food and Drug Administration (JFDA). The visit aimed to become aware of JFDA's leading role in controlling food and drugs for ensuring safety of food products for Jordanian citizens and raising citizens’ awareness on matters that are related to the safety of their food and drugs.
The Manager of Laboratories’ Directorate, Eng. Mahmoud Mostafa, gave explanation on the activities of JFDA’s Laboratories Directorate, JFDA's role in controlling imported and local food products and checks performed by JFDA staff to ensure quality and safety of food products in line with approved global standards.
The students made a tour to JFDA's laboratories to learn about equipment used and methods followed in sampling, testing and analyzing samples.
