On behalf of the President of University of Petra (UOP) and chairman of Jordan Chamber of Industry (JCI), Prof. Mohammed Al-Anani and Dr. Mohammed Bassam Bitar signed on Sunday, August 28, 2016, a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for cooperating in the fields of research, training and development. The MoU provided for training of the University students and guiding them to shed light on industrial problems in their graduation research projects. The MoU, however, set out organizing awareness-raising lectures by the industrialists to students and teaching staff to bringing them closer to the industrial reality, especially in the chemical industry. UOP, on the other hand, will enable industrialists and researchers to use the University laboratories and equipment to conduct the industrial research. The MoU, moreover, stipulated that UOP teaching staff should hold workshops, lectures and provide consultations to industrialists in all scientific and technological fields.
