UOP Participates in “Young Arab Media Leaders Program” in UAE

The UOP Mass Communication Faculty participated in “Young Arab Media Leaders Program (YAMLP)” organized by Arab Youth Center (AYC) of UAE Ministry of Youth. AYC partnership with UOP is one of the strategic partnerships built with greater than 30 prestigious media and academic institutions and elite of well-known journalists in the region to organize the second session of “Young Arab Media Leaders Program”.
Prof. Tayseer Abu Arja, UOP Vice-President and Dean of the Faculty of Mass Communication, stressed the importance of students’ participation in this strategic program that seeks to empower, improve the skills and prepare young Arabs to enter labor market and share successful experiences in media work with them. Prof. Abu Arja noted that UOP-FMC participated in the first session of the program last year and appreciated the efforts of the program's organizers.
Dr. Ali Yahia Alhadeed, UOP Coordinator of the Program, expressed pride at UOP-AYC cooperation and stated that UOP is committed to improve the skills of young Arabs in line with the best journalistic practices and enhancing their abilities in using with new media outlets more efficiently and developing media sector in the Arab world.
YAMLP is the largest program in the Arab World that aims to improve the talents and skills of young Arabs and influencers, establish integrated media network and keep abreast of the rapidly accelerating developments and conveying a good image on the young Arabs to the world.
YAMLP, organized under the directives of His Highness Sheikh Zayed bin Nahyan Al Nahyan, the Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers, Minister of Presidency Affairs and Chairman of Youth Arab Center, provides a perfect platform allowing young male and females to benefit from media professionals and major influencers in the region and world.
