UOP, QBU Explore Strengthening Areas for Cooperation

UOP President Prof. Marwan Muwalla and UOP Higher Chancellor Prof. Adnan Badran explored areas of concluding cooperation agreements in the areas of scientific research, academic exchange and exchange of experiences with the delegation of Queen's Belfast University (QBU). QBU President Prof. Eyan Ghreer headed the delegation and QBU Former President James Mack Elni accompanied him.
Prof. Muwalla made presentation on the most significant achievements of the University of Petra (UOP), international accreditation certificates UOP has obtained recently and scientific and academic aspects UOP seeks to develop through cooperation agreements concluded with international universities.
Prof. Muwalla affirmed UOP commitment to strengthen its relationships with the world higher education institutions to prepare knowledgeable graduates who are able to compete in the local and global labor market.
In turn, QBU President Prof. Eyan Ghreer emphasized that the visit falls within QBU's Policy to strengthen its relationships with leading Jordanian Universities and explore means of benefiting from cooperation programs, thereby developing educational process and enhancing communication between participants in cooperation programs.
The British Delegation visited several UOP faculties and departments to introduce the visiting delegation on UOP action plans, programs, academic trends and future objectives.
Several deans of faculties and heads of departments at UOP attended the meeting. QBU delegation was composed of QBU's Global Food Security Director Prof. Christopher Elute, Dean of Postgraduate Studies Prof. Margret Topeng, Strategic Adviser Dr. Muhannad Odeh.
QBU is one of the oldest nine universities in the United Kingdom (UK). QBU has been ranked first in Knowledge Transfer Partnership. QBU, moreover, has been ranked eighth in terms of research outputs. QBU is known of its fields of specializations worldwide.
