During the enlightening week to welcome new students at the university, the University of Petra (UOP) launched the "Read and Educate Yourself" initiative for the fourth year in a row, within the activities of the Library Committee in the Faculty of Administrative and Financial Sciences. Professor Amer Sakarneh, from the Accounting Department, who specializes in tax law, gave a lecture to faculty members at the faculty, entitled: "Tax Return based on the Amended Law of 2019" at Marwan Al-Dahleh Hall in the University Library.
The initiative also included a workshop for the Faculty of Administrative and Financial Sciences students to introduce them to the library services, its departments, in addition to the search machanism in automated indexes, lending and renewal guidelines, and how to use electronic databases.
Dr. Suhair Al-Jaghoub, Dean of the Faculty of Administrative and Financial Sciences, thanked the library administration and members of the library committee at the faculty for their efforts to make this initiative a success. She hopes that such initiatives would continue to encourage students to acquire knowledge through education and reading.
