The library of the University of Petra dates from 1991 when the university was founded. It now occupies a three-storey building and can house about 100,000 volumes. The library is growing continuously both in the number of books and in fields of specializations. It aims at providing students and scholars with books, periodicals and sources of information required in academic activities. It therefore continuously develops its resources and updates them in accordance with the latest development in scientific progress, information technology systems and services, using computers, the internet and data-based information.
