Overview
The Architect is the professional Engineer that works on planning and designing the space and place from the city level to the neighborhood to the building and all its contents. From generation to generation, Architecture remains as a witness and storyteller of these civilizations, and so Architecture was named "Mother of all arts".
The Department grants a bachelor degree (BA) in Architecture, the studying period is five years by having 165 credit hours.
The Department focuses on the artistic, technical, social and scientific aspects in preparing its graduates.


Vision
The Departmant of Architecture focuses on the artistic, technical, socio-economical and cultural aspects in preparing its graduates, and we aspire to be one of the best departments of architecture in Jordan and the region.


Mission
The department of Architecture is an academic department dedicated to providing high quality education which will turn out professional graduates who will contribute to the progress and devote print of the Architecture Community in Jordan.


Objectives
1- Service offered:
To offer high quality program that are:
1- attractive to students.
2- Relevant to the needs of Architecture Industry.
3- Balanced in terms of theory and practice.
4- Equipped with an up-to-date curriculum and maintain high academic standards.

2- Student affairs:
To offer services related to students and students affairs in the following areas:
1- Student advisory services on academic and non-academic issues.
2- Student interaction with instructors.
3- Student progression and devising means and methods to maintain students retention and attendance
3- Teaching and learning:
1-To encourage creativity and self-development .
2-To stimulate interest and self-learning in each student.
3-To enhance students ability to devise, plan control and execute a substantial graduation project.
4-To prepare graduates to :
a-analyze, design, implement and evaluate.
b- work effectively as a team member.
c- communicate effectively through speaking , writing, and the use of presentation tools.
d- Pursue life long learning.

Intended educational outcomes:
Graduate students will be able to:
1-use the techniques, skills, and tools necessary for the practice of Architectural Design.
Communicate effectively, prepare technical reports and give oral presentations.
Recognize and appreciate professional and ethical responsibilities.
