| Overview | | The department of medicinal chemistry and pharmacognosy through its academic programs introduces the students to various structural requirements for various drugs used in disease management with the emphasis on the structural-activity relationships and the essential chromophore for that particular activity. In regards to natural products, emphasis is placed on the active component of plants, their chemistry, uses and methods of characterization, and the role of natural products in generation of drugs that are currently in the market. |
