Computer Information System
| Overview | The Computer Information Program is designed so that a student is capable upon his/her graduation to play a major role in the workforce of Information Systems. Courses are carefully selected in this program to cover a range of areas including computer science, information systems and information science, business administration, and management. These courses are blended togeather to provide the student with the essentials needed in systems planning and development, and systems analysis and design.

| Vision | We seek to become one of the leading departments of Information System nationally and internationally that employs distinguished lecturers and provides high quality graduates. Currently, the department offers two major disciplines in order to share up the newly specialized topics of information technology:
• Computer Information System (CIS); and • Software Engineering (SE).

| Mission | The department mission is to: • Satisfy the national and international standards in SE and CIS fields. • Provide a solid knowledge in the field of ISs and Web technologies. • Enable students to locate, evaluate, and use information. • Provide the state-of-art educational tools and services that can produce outstanding graduates in the areas of SE and CIS. • Meet the advances in ISs in general and concentrate on electronic marketplace requirements. • Produce graduates who are competitive locally and internationally in the areas of e-commerce and e-business. • Prepare graduates to be intellectual, professional, and ethical. • Provide students with knowledge and practice needed to develop high quality software products in the industry environment.
